Franco is Swiss-Italian and was born in Wil, Switzerland on January 13, 1973. As a child and teenager, he competed and was a champion in various sports such as ice hockey, swimming and martial arts. Franco found his niche in fitness at the age of eleven. It was at this early age that he set his goal to become a World Champion and then a movie star, a boy's dream which first part became a reality 14 years later: Franco eventually won the prestigious Mr. World Fitness competition six times in a row. In addition, he was the number one on the World Fitness Federation World Ranking List for 8 years from 1996-2004, a record that has made him the most successful and most recognized fitness athlete ever. In June 2004, he had the honor of carrying the Olympic Torch through Lausanne, Switzerland, the Headquarter of the IOC. |

During his fitness days, Franco was a spokesperson, official partner, speaker and/or consultant for such prestigious groups as The Department of Health Services, The American Cancer Society, The CDC, The Boys and Girls Club, The American Heart Association, The Swiss School System, The 5-A-Day Power Play Campaign, The Department of Parks and Recreation, The Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services, The March of Dimes, and many others. He authored dozens of articles and columns for magazines such as GQ, Fit for Fun, Swiss Illustrated and others. He's the author of the Book "Fitness for Kids - Because Children are our Future" which thousands of children received at the ongoing Fitness for Kids Events. |

During the last years, Franco became a well known personality through all his ventures as a Record World Champion Athlete, Model, Author, Fitness Exptert and other projects he sucessfully worked on. He now resides in Los Angeles where he teaches his Fitness Philosophy to people from all walks of life from celebrities and corporate executives, to housewives. Simultaneously he is building Fitness for Kids into a worldwide impactful, difference−making Organization for upcoming generations. |
